Common questions
How is the freight price calculated?
Price depends on distance, load weight and truck type. Bulk and seasonal contracts get lower per-tonne rates. Every quote is fixed before dispatch — no loading of extra charges afterwards.
What kinds of cargo do you move?
General cargo, agricultural produce, perishables and frozen goods, building materials, machinery, electronics, pharmaceuticals, household relocations, vehicles — and dangerous goods where a proper declaration and packaging are in place.
Do you handle imports and exports?
Yes. We move FCL and LCL sea freight through Dar es Salaam and Mombasa, and air freight through regional hubs, with clearing and forwarding and the relevant incoterms (EXW to DDP) agreed on the booking.
How is chargeable weight calculated?
We charge on the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (length × width × height × pieces, divided by 250 kg per cubic metre for road). The calculator shows both figures before you book.
Can I track my consignment?
Every booking gets a THL tracking number. Enter it on the tracking page, or sign in to your portal to see the full movement history of all your shipments.
Do you deliver outside the region?
We cover national routes and cross-border corridors with partner carriers. Tell us the corridor on your quote request and we will confirm scheduling.
Is insurance included?
Cargo is handled under standard carrier liability. For higher-value loads we can arrange declared-value cover on request before dispatch.
